Dr. Ceylan graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Animal Science in 1987. He has completed his Master and Ph.D studies in the Department of Feed and Animal Nutrition at Ankara University between the years of 1987-1993. Dr. Ceylan was a visiting scientist in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska in the United States for researching and examining “poultry feeding” between the years of 1996-1998. He was appointed as Full Professor of the Department of Feed and Animal Nutrition in 2003. He served as the Head of the Animal Nutrition Science Association between the years of 2007-2009.
He is a member of the European Federation Feeding Group (Working Group 2, nutrition) of the World Poultry Association (WTSA). He contributed four times as the chairman in the International White Meat Congress (International Poultry Meat Congress) traditionally held by BESD-BIR since 2011. Dr. Ceylan has been taking part in cooperation with the public and poultry sector, he has conducted and continues to carry out numerous projects on feed, feed additives and poultry livestock, and has over 80 scientific publications including 16 international peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has made more than 30 presentations in national and international congresses.
