Dr. Dursun started his undergraduate education at the Department of Agricultural Mechanization of Ankara University in 1984 and graduated in 1988. He started working as a research assistant in the same department on 27th of January, 1989.
In 1990 he completed his master study in the Department of Agricultural Mechanization at Ankara University, and received his Ph.D degree in the same department in 1994. He received the title of the Associated Professorship in 1996 and the title of Full Professor in 2003. He is still working in the same department. He has been a member of the Scientific Project Evaluation Group (PDG) since 2015, and as a member of the University Board of Directors from the date of 18th of September, 2015. Dr. Dursun was appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ankara University on July 27, 2017. Dr. Dursun has worked as a project coordinator and co-worker in many national and international projects, and has been a reviewer of several national projects.
He has served as a member of the Scientific Board in numerous congresses at the national level with the duties of various Commission memberships in the department and the faculty. There are up to 70 scientific publications, including books on national and international indexed journals and fields.
His main working areas; plant protection machines, the development of techniques and technologies to reduce drug drift in pesticide applications, improving drug application effectiveness in field and atomizers and reducing drug pesticides. In addition, he has been conducting researches on soil-processing machines, mechanization practices for the protection of soil and water, fruit harvesting machines and the technical characteristics of biological material.
